Disneyland Paris is a great stop for anyone who is in the area, especially with kids. Disneyland Paris doesn’t just cater for children and families though, and many adults find their way here to enjoy some fun and frivolity on rides, in the themed restaurants and wandering the grounds, interacting with their favourite characters from the extensive cast list. Located only 32 kilometres east of central Paris, it’s Europe’s most visited theme park, and for good reason. With 2 Disney Parks, a Golf Resort and 7 hotels to choose from, it continues to be a large attraction for Paris. You can buy your tickets in advance as well to save yourself both money and hassle. Be sure to check it out – you won’t regret it, and the kids will remember it for years to come!
Parisian Sights To See
Of course, any trip to Paris isn’t complete without seeing a few of the old standbys. Sights such as the impressive Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur church, Moulin Rouge, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre museum and more. Each different attraction is suited to a number of travellers, with the Louvre being the home of a number of impressive original artworks that any art lover in your party will be left in awe over. Even if you aren’t particularly fond of art yourself, seeing world famous paintings such as the Mona Lisa can leave you awestruck. Be sure to visit Napoleon’s Tomb and museum, as well as stroll the Champs-Elysee and visit some of the impressive high end boutique stores, and for a truly unusual experience, check out the subterranean Parisian Catacombs.
Restaurants and Cafes
It’s no surprise that a city such as Paris is going to be awash with numerous and stunning cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and more. In culturally rich, tourist areas such as Montmarte it’s entirely possible to find literal holes in the wall where one can purchase crepes for sale. Back streets lined with kitschy cafes and unique stand alone restaurants is commonplace. For truly delicious coffee, try one of the small cafes you will inevitably come across. French cafe culture is truly one of the best in Europe and due to the fact that France at one time had colonised parts of the world such as Vietnam and Laos, it means they often sell coffee from these parts of the world. Laotian coffee specifically is relatively absent from the rest of the planet outside of Laos, except for Paris, so be sure to check that out when you find it on one of the cafe menus.
So there you have a couple of great reasons why you should visit Paris for a last minute holiday this summer season. With so much to see and do for everyone in your travelling party, it’s easy to see why Paris continues to delight travellers from around the world year after year.
